Vintage Tea Party raises over 400

Just Wright Catering has raised £455 for Primrose Hospice after holding a raffle at their ‘Pop up vintage afternoon tea party’.

Just Wright Catering, based in Redditch, held the event on Saturday 4th February at Cook Hill Village Hall, with tickets selling out within 4 days with Sam Carter, from Siron Events Limited helped plan the event. Photographs were taken by Henriette Lang, from Henriette Lang Photography.

The event had over 100 guests, who dressed up in 1940’s and 1950’s clothing. Entertainment was provided by the vintage singing duo ‘The Poppy Sisters’ and a raffle was drawn on the day with proceeds going to Primrose Hospice.

Andrea Wright, Owner of Just Wright Catering, said: “I have chosen to support the Primrose Hospice as my chosen charity in 2017 as I feel the support they offer patients at their end of life is invaluable.

“My nan passed away at home as this was her wish to be cared for at home and because the help was available to our family it meant her last weeks were as she wanted.

“They also offer great support to family members who are coming to terms with a loved one’s terminal illness. Like all local hospices, The Primrose Hospice is totally funded by charity donations and I am really pleased to be able to support them”.

Quote from Emma Williams, Fundraising Manager – Community Engagement, said: “The afternoon tea event was absolutely delightful, it was a pleasure to attend and be part of such a lovely afternoon.

“Just Wright Catering and Siron Events did a great job in organizing the event with the food being just simply delicious. We are delighted with the money raised from the raffle and are extremely grateful for the support from Just Wright Catering and we look forward to hopefully working alongside them again”.
