Up, Up and Away at the Jinney Ring

The ‘Lets go Fly a Kite’ event held at the Jinney Ring Craft Centre on Sunday 26thSeptember was a great success, so much so that they are hoping to make the event a regular on their events calendar.

There was lots to see and do at the event with large stunt kites taking to the skies, as well as handmade kites and kites which you could make on the day.  Amanda Sunter from the Jinney Ring said; When we came up with the idea of flying a kite for Charity at the Jinney Ring we really had no idea just how much people would enjoy it – what a brilliant day. This will definitely be in our calendar for next year”

The event raised a fabulous £745.35 which has been donated to Primrose Hospice, Kate Kelly, Corporate Fundraiser said; “We are delighted to have been chosen to be supported by the Jinney Ring, through their first Kite event, the event was well planned and there was much fun had by all concerned. The funds raised will support local people who are living with a life limiting illness and their families”.
