Help the hospice, bag a bargain!

Like other hospices and many charities all over the country,  our Primrose  shops are very important to raising cricial funds each year.

From their inception around 50 years ago by Oxfam, charity shops have become a regular, and sometimes disputed, part of most high streets. They have become a part of popular culture: referred to in numerous comedy shows, tales of amazing bargains in 'Antiques Roadshow' and so many colourful stories of odd volunteers, customers and unusual smells. It's all true. As our high streets fall into decline, charity shops are filling some gaps. They do well, and people want them.

What about our shops:

Our shops are exciting places, carefully stocked with the best donated items. Our staff and volunteers process large quantities of donated goods to find the right styles of clothing, accessories, interesting collectables, decorative items and furniture.

Second hand need not be second rate; some of our best customers have created exciting individual 'looks' for themselves and their homes, simply by visiting us often and browsing our changing stocks. We always strive to have an exciting range of clothing and accessories in our shops, making them well worth a regular visit.

Collectables are not immediately sent to online auction, our managers are keen to display the interesting and unusual and there is always a 'buzz' of excitement when an item of value is discovered. Recently we have handled such items as; 20th century art pottery (Troika, Moorcroft and others), Victorian Silver, vintage toys, jewellery and much more.
