Sarah Chatterley - John O'Groats to Lands End

Over the summer I am attempting to walk 1200 miles from Land's End to John o' Groats to raise money for the Primrose Hospice. On 7th July I will leave Land’s End and hopefully 11 weeks later arrive in John o’Groats. I will be carrying a 2 and a half stone rucksack the whole way. I am camping every night, sometimes wild camping (especially in the Scottish Highlands) so I’m having to carry all my clothes, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, clothes, food, water and toiletries. My friend Rachael is also walking it with me and we have planned the whole thing ourselves. It’s a huge challenge and I’m looking forward to seeing both ends of the UK and everything in between.

I am doing this in memory of my Uncle, Simon Kirk, who sadly died aged 45 in January this year after a long battle with brain cancer. The care he received at the Primrose was fantastic and the help and support the Primrose has given to my family after his death has been amazing and I feel it's the least I can do to try and give something back.

This is a charity very close to my heart and I would be hugely grateful if you could donate a few pounds, or whatever you can afford. My website is
