Primrose Hospice Summer Fete Success

 Primrose Hospice opened its door for an afternoon of fun for everyone on Saturday 16th July. The event was a huge success for the hospice and has to date raised over £5,600  with donations still coming in.

The event which was officially opened by VIP guest, and Bromsgrove resident BBC Midlands Today presenter Joanne Malin attracted hundreds of local residents along, all of whom had lots of fun with the many craft stalls, children’s activities, classic car area, hot pork baps, chill out tent, Tardebigge Cider, Retro Lilly Ice Cream Van and a prosecco van from the Village Catering Company and we had a special appearance and support from the crew at Bromsgrove Fire Station.

Emma Williams, Community Fundraiser commented;

‘The Summer Fete was an absolutely fantastic afternoon, with visitors coming along and simply enjoying themselves and having fun. We had music in the garden with people lazying around and singing along, it really did have a festival summer fun feeling.

Our main aim was to open our doors up for people to come along and see for themselves what the Primrose Hospice is all about, we had queues into the car park we were that busy! We really are extremely happy how the event went and we are overwhelmed with how many people came. We would like to thank everyone who came along to see us and to those that helped out on the day and supported us. We have had a great time’.
