Primrose Hospice's Fundraising Future?!

Community Fundraiser, Lucy Baylis, visited St George's CofE First School Year 4 pupils and talked to them about careers and her role as a Fundraiser. Topics included what sort of work she had to do, how much money did she need to raise for Primrose Hospice and what Primrose Hospice does for the community. This included information about Lucy's background, education and what qualifications she needed.

She then challenged them to try and fill one of our Home Collecting boxes and be a Fundraiser for the day! They decided to do charity cricket match at school (Friday 19th July 2pm) and used the boxes to collect sponsorship money.

Lucy says, "I was delighted to visit the school and talk to the children about my role at Primrose Hospice. I hope I gave them a good insight into charity work and encouraged them to support their community".
