Many local groups have members who know someone
who has benefited from our care and often want
to do something to help.
We are grateful to all the community groups
that support us in our financial targets.
If you have an event in mind, contact us. We
are happy to support you with sponsorship forms,
publicity, posters, collecting cans etc. and
ideas to make your event a real success.
You can set up your own webpage for people to sponsor you. Simply click here to go the Just Giving website and set up your page. Then you can email the link to your friends and work colleagues.
We have lots of fundraising ideas. Why not
download our 'Simple Steps to Fundraising'
and organise an event soon?
Alternatively, you can help by attending one
of our own events. Click
here for a list of forthcoming events.
We are always on the lookout for prizes for
raffles and auctions for our events. If you
have a suitable item, call the Fundraising Department
on 01527 875444.
Thanks to everyone who has raised money for
Primrose this year. Here are some of our supporters:
The staff from the Hilton Hotel recently
presented a cheque for £2,324 to Lyn
Winters, Community Fundraiser from
various fundraising events they have held,
including a Blues Brothers themed evening.
Dave Clulow of Millfields Social Club
recently handed over a cheque for £1,000 to
Lorraine Hart, Fundraising Manager, following
fundraising by its members.
Bromsgrove Beer Festival chose
Primrose for its annual event at the
Rugby Club in July. During the 3 day
event, £772 was raised. Special thanks
to Carol Austin, Doug, Trevor Hyde and
Margaret Lowe for helping sell goods
and promote Primrose at the event.
38 members of Curves Ladies only gym in
Bromsgrove lost a total of 283 inches (or
23.5 feet), 290lb (20 stone) and 65% in body
fat to raise £2,785 through a Sponsored Slim
earlier this year. This was matched by a
personal cheque for $1,000 from Gary and
Diane Heavin, the owners of Curves in the
US. Thanks to Fitness Centre Manager and
Owner Lisa Yli-Juuti and her team for organising the event and
to all those who took part.
Tony Fallon, along with companions Mike Fallon, Anthony
Walker and John Dixon, recently completed a 115 mile
sponsored hike from Land’s End to Boscastle in Cornwall.
Primrose was one of 3 charities to benefit.
Nearly £2,500 has been raised for ‘Primrose
at the Princess’ by sports car specialist
Paul Matty Cars over 5 years. The business is
registered to value cars for insurance
purposes and for each one completed, a
donation is given to Primrose.
Paul’s Mother passed away some years ago with cancer, having
been under the care of Dr Spires, a former Trustee of the Hospice.
Paul and his wife June then chose Primrose as their favourite charity.
