Cherrywood Cars Raise Nearly 500

Cherrywood Cars have been fundraising for Primrose Hospice and have raised nearly £500 between November and December 2016.

Cherrywood Cars have been donating £10 for every car they sell, between November 25th and December 24th, to the Hospice and have managed to raise £480 from the sale of 48 cars.

Cherrywood Cars, a used car dealership based in Astwood Business Park, Astwood Bank, Redditch, is a new business in the area and they have been looking for ways to support the local community.

They also donated an ‘experience day’ to the Primrose Hospice which was added to the raffle at their annual Christmas Fayre, which was held on Sunday 27th November.

Martine Henstone, Director at Cherrywood Cars, said: We are supporting Primrose, for many reasons, firstly we think Primrose is a wonderful charity, and deserve supporting.

“A few members of Cherrywood staff have recently lost members of family and/or friends, or seen them struggle through treatments, and witness the heartbreak that a difficult illness can bring. Christmas is a lovely time of the year, however it can also be a very difficult time when you are either unwell yourself, or caring for someone who is unwell”.

Kate Kelly, Corporate Fundraiser at Primrose Hospice, said: “We’re really delighted that Cherrywood Cars is supported us with this initiative.

“We feel it’s important that local businesses take an interest in local charities and these fundraising events are vitally important as Primrose Hospice relies heavily on donations to provide our services for free”.
