11 year old Callum Gauntlett rides 25 miles for Primrose Hospice

Callum Gauntlett, aged 11, who will be starting at King Edwards Five Ways Grammar School this September, was set a physical challenge to raise funds for charity. Having heard of the BIG Appeal for Primrose Hospice he decided they would be his chosen charity.

Callum cycled a massive 25 miles on a Turbo Trainer outside ASDA, Bromsgrove on Saturday 9th August and raised over £240 for Primrose Hospice.

Helen Garfield Chief Executive Officer of Primrose hospice says:
“It is great to see people like Callum offering to support us. 25 miles is a long way to cycle and the money raised will help us to get nearer to our target. We are aiming to raise £100,000 to ensure we can meet the ever increasing need for our services.
Callum (and his Mum Sally and sister Evie) have been generous with their time and energy and the local people who sponsored Callum have been generous with their money. It is wonderful to know we have the support of our local community and we really appreciate what Callum has achieved. He is a very special young man!
We do hope people will continue to support our BIG Appeal by making a donation or organising an event. We support local people who are facing an end of life situation and most people know someone who would benefit from our services.”
